life is wonderful

Met up with Audrey and Lucas at 5 plus and we had dinner. After that, dad fetched us to Stadium Negara. Sadly there wasn't a toilet there so we spent some time looking for one nearby and after that, we shopped for t-shirts. Entered at 7 ++. Concert supposed to start at 8 but of course, stars are always late so we waited till around 8.30 - 8.45.

There wasn't any opening act. Not that I bother anyway. Even if there was one, bet it'll be something crappy. Mraz started off with the song Make It Mine from his latest album. I can't really remember the songs in order but I do remember most of them. Next song was The Remedy. Other 'mainstream' songs that he performed includes You and I Both, Lucky, and I'm Yours. I think a local female artist duet with Jason during the song Lucky but fans couldn't really recognize who's that artist. The crowd was ecstatic when he performed Geek in the Pink. Classic JM song really. Other songs include If it Kills Me, Life is Wonderful, Dynamo of Volition, and Live High. The audience kinda know the lyrics well because everyone was singing along during most of the songs, even though during those not so mainstream songs, which I think is a great thing. There was an encore and he was wearing an "I Love KL" shirt. The last song was Butterfly.

The concert was overall really fucking fantastic. Too fantastic for words. What a wonderful experience. It's proven that he sounds much better live. People, face it, Mraz has practically perfect pitch. There was only one song that certain parts sounded a bit weird. During the ending part of Butterfly, other instruments (saxo, trombone, etc) were playing a key higher but Jason was still sticking to the initial key. (That's if I'm not wrong) Anyway it didn't sound really obvious unless the audience really paid extra attention. There was a lot of interaction and it was really damn enjoyable. There was one statement that he made which makes sense, "Don't let your mind stop you from having fun". He was trying to tell the audience that we should all dance and enjoy ourselves even if our dance moves don't fit our looks and outfit. Mraz said that it was the first time for him to perform in KL but definitely not the last time. Hope to see you soon in years to come. xD

fear is a friend that you misunderstood

Currently in KL.
Mom went for my cousin bro's graduation thingy in the morning so I ended up following my dad. Went to Midvalley for awhile but bought zero items because it's just difficult to shop with my parents even if I have the money. They comment too much. Saw Melissa there. To all MGSians who knows her, she sent her regards. I guess she's enjoying life a lot? She seems really happy and she still looks more or less the same. WCG was being held there so we stopped by for awhile. For the old Crystal, she'd definitely be ecstatic but unfortunately she's no more into gaming.

After shopping I followed my dad to a little pub. He had to help those people hold some foosball tournament. I was compelled to sit there for practically 2 hours doing nothing, tried reading some dumb magazine but the lighting made it difficult so I ended up messing with the phone and watching some olympics at the same time. Those people there smoked as if they have an eternal life, as if tomorrow would never come. Gah. Nearly suffocated to death.

Met up with relatives for dinner at Ah Yatt's Abalone Restaurant. Snapped a few photos of the food because as usual, I'm such food freak. Do you people actually realize that snapping food is better than snapping human beings? This is because most of the time, human beings refuse to fully co-operate to get the best shot. Anyway I'm lazy to fill the captions, so go figure.

I Hate Sushi

Yesterday went to Pasta Zanmai for brunch. Very nice place selling lotsa japanese snacks. Well actually they serve over 50 types of pasta. Japanese fusion pasta. You get what I mean. Actually I hate Japanese food but this one is an exception. It's located in One U. Do try. =)
Managed to take these photos before my camera died out again. Zzz.

Recognize the logo.

We're supposed to grind them into powdery form. Apparently they enhance the taste of the pasta.

Ice fruit tea.

Miso soup with LALA? All the lalas sank to the bottom.

Salad with sesame sauce and crab sticks.

Beef pasta something. Can't remember the name.

Meat!

Just to update a bit, I'm now in KL.
Went for dinner at Tony Roma's. Lovely and huge portions.
Anyway my camera 'died' again thanks to those cheap ass batteries so I managed to take these pictures only. Friggin' lame.
I like the butter.

My dad called the waiter who did this faggot. Swt.

Sauce sauce sauce.

The main course. RIBS! The little bowl beside the ribs is tomato pesto salad.

Tomorrow will be trying out some Japanese + Western fusion type of pasta.
Too bad the Food God won't be able to snap any photos.
Haha.

Busy shopping the whole day at Sungai Wang and Times Square. So those places are so packed with those stupid Jrockers wannabes. Whatever you wanna call them. They're like so into visual kei. I notice the shops for visual kei are actually increasing. Some of them even require you to have membership? Through membership only you can enter that shop to purchase those clothings. How lame is that. There was this shop with so many huge posters of VK bands.

Besides, there were many youngsters who try TOO hard to look vk-ish and in the end they look like shit. I also bet that they just like VK because it looks good, not because of the great music. Anyway there was this shop playing Gazette's Taion. I got quite excited. I actually purposely stayed in that shop to listen to the music. Those wannabes were such an eyesore. Lol. I'm so mean but I can't just help being mean because they really annoy me to the max.

If you have the time, please look at the video below.
It's the music video for Gazette's Taion. Great song. Great music. Average looks but fucking great band. Yay. =)
